Guest Lecture and Seminar at The LAB, Dublin with the MA Arts Research Collaboration programme at IADT Dun Loaghaire
Over the last couple of weeks I have been in Ireland for the second phase of fieldwork on my research project into the Apple Data Centre Proposal in Athenry, County Galway.
On my way, I stopped off in Dublin to give a lecture and host a seminar at The LAB, with the MA Arts Research Collaboration programme run by IADT Dun Loaghaire and the co-convenors Maeve Connolly and Sinead Hogan.
The group in attendance was very receptive to the research topic and I gained some valuable feedback from them on topics surrounding the politics of rural Ireland, conflicts over land appropriation and the divisions between Dublin and the rest of Ireland, that may be percolating.
Some great conversations had. I hope to revisit at some point in the near future to discuss the work in progress.
